CSR Planning

The Power of 10™ has been a special tool that has helped us encourage giving back to society across hundreds of citizens. Several corporates have as a result expressed a lot of interest in exploring strategies on how to institutionalize volunteerism as part of their work culture.

A case in point is the Mahindra & Mahindra group for whom we have been designated Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) advisor. We have jointly created a platform called the Employee Social Options (Esops) through which we've facilitated volunteering protocols and a set of opportunities to help local communities, for their employees spread across the length and breadth of the country.

Almost all locations in the Mahindra Group have their own CSR committees, they have CSR review meetings and have CSR recognition functions. Right from creating a menu of options to how best employees and their families can volunteer to how to ensure quality: the ESOPs and CSR programme for the Mahindra’s has seen volunteers grow from a few hundreds to more than 14,000 today which prompted Anand Mahindra, the group Vice Chairman and Managing Director say that "With the implementation of ESOPs we are proud to announce that on any given day in the year somewhere in India, you will find a Mahindra employee contributing to Society".

Inspired by the Mahindra & Mahindra partnership, and the potential of the Power of 10™ Naandi is reaching out to other companies in the corporate sector for what could be the beginning of the “outsourcing of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)”.

We are presently working with Capgemini – the management and software consultancy giant devising ways to make its CSR portfolio more robust and inclusive to encourage the company and its employees to be more involved with the cause and the communities they wish to support.

It is Capgemini that helped set up, and also hosts Naandi’s Norway Branch.
